Being Witnesses
Good Day College Church,
This Second Sunday in Lent culminates our Missions Weekend, in which we consider how we at College Church can be witnesses "to the ends of the earth." Our guest speaker will be Dr. Matteo Riccardio, who is pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Montcalieri, Italy and is the Academic Dean at European Nazarene College. (A team from College Church traveled to Montcalieri last summer and refurbished the church in order to help it fulfill its mission.) Pastor Matteo will be bringing the morning message from Genesis 12 and will be reminding us of the work of God that is occurring all over the world. Helping us in our worship this Sunday will be Olivet's Proclamation Gospel Choir, under the leadership of Dr. Marvin Jones. It is going to be a really good day to be with the Lord and His people.
Sunday evening, at 6:00pm, there will be a Question-and-Answer session in the CLC with Pastor Matteo, which will provide us an opportunity to learn how the Lord is working in Italy. Light snacks will be provided.
Of course, another one of the ways we can be "witnesses to the ends of the earth" is through prayer. During Lent, we are offering up continuous prayer from 7:30 until 5:00 in the sanctuary. Thank you to all who signed up to pray at a particular time, and please know that all are welcome to come when they can.
In addition to prayer, we are also Reading Scripture at 7:30am and 12:30pm and offering the sacrament of the Lord's Supper at those times as well. If you would like to include in your day, a dedicated time of being with the Lord, you are welcome to participate.
