Church Board

Your College Church of the Nazarene University Avenue Board is committed to serving the pastor and church body alike, working in harmony to lead the work of the church. Your prayers for the church and board are always appreciated.

The board meets once each month (with occasional additional meetings, as needed) at a time and date published in the weekly bulletin and calendar; all are welcome to attend.

laura allen

About Laura

Laura works part-time for an organization that connects Illinois public schools with character-based abstinence education programs. She and her husband Daniel have three children, Kaya, Levi, and Avery. The Allens have attended College Church for three and a half years, serve in the Kidsland nursery, and lead the Homebuilders Sunday School class.

lynda allen

About Lynda

Lynda is a professor in the School of Business at Olivet. She and her husband Brian have been attending College Church since their days as students at Olivet. They have three children and two granddaughters (Ainsley and Dylan) and are currently serving in Kidsland in Dylan’s class.

TYLER BONTRAGER

About Tyler

Tyler is a school counselor at BBCHS and coaches girl’s tennis. He and his wife Lynnae have one daughter, Eliza, and have attended CCUA for twelve years. They are members of the Homebuilders Sunday School class. Tyler sings in Chancel Choir and on the Worship Team and serves on the NMI Council.

CHARLES CARRIGAN

About Charles

Charles is a professor in the Chemistry and Geoscience Department at ONU. He and his wife, Dana, have four daughters - Carly, Brianna, Elle, and Corinne. The Carrigans have been attending College Church for six and a half years. Charles co-leads the college age Sunday School class.

tony fightmaster

About Tony

Tony is a development officer at Olivet. He and his wife Janine have four sons, four daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. The Fightmasters have been attending College Church for thirty-eight years. Tony volunteered with youth events while their sons were growing up and has participated in various music ministry opportunities at CCUA over the years.

RACHEL GREENAWALT

About Rachel

Rachel is a retired schoolteacher. She has been attending College Church since 1970, and is a member of the Here’s the Bible Sunday School class. Rachel serves on the Missions Council, Fellowship Committee and Prayer and Care Team. She sings in Chancel Choir and has done extensive travel with Work and Witness teams.

SHANNON HICKS

About Shannon

Shannon is a third-grade teacher and has been attending College Church for eleven years. She is on the Kidsland Leadership Team and often serves as a CCUA wedding coordinator. Shannon is the leader of the Fellowship Committee and volunteers on the Emergency Response Team.

jeanette martinson

About Jeanette

Jeanette is a professor of psychology at Olivet and is a licensed clinical professional counselor as well. She and her husband Jay and their two youngest children have attended College Church for six years. The Martinsons are co-leaders of the Faith and Life Sunday School class, host a connection group for college students in their home, and serve in the greeting/hospitality ministry monthly.

aaron meyer

About Aaron

Aaron is an arborist with the village of Homewood. He is married to Amy, and they have three children, Logan, Gwen, and Norah. They have been attending College Church together for twenty-four years. Aaron volunteers each week as head usher.

KYLE OLNEY

About Kyle

Kyle works at Olivet as the executive director of campus safety management. He and his wife Amber have three children - Autumn, Kamden, and Kolton. They are members of the Homebuilders Sunday School class. Kyle has attended CCUA since 1997, has served as a money counter, and as a kindergarten- third grade teacher in Kidsland.

don reddick

About Don

Don served as the head of the music program at Olivet for twenty-six years. He is married to Dena and they have two adult children and two grandchildren. The Reddicks have attended College Church for a little over four years and host a connection group for college students. Don is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and is the co-leader for the Here’s the Bible Sunday School class.

leslie ruszkowski

About Leslie

Leslie works part-time at Olivet as an instructional support specialist. She began attending CCUA in college and completed her internship with the youth group. After returning to the area with her family three years ago, she and her husband Jordan became active members. The Ruszkowskis have two children, Harbor and Oaklee, and are members of the Faith and Life Sunday School class. Leslie and Jordan teach the fourth grade class twice a month and host a connection group for college students.

NMI President

About Amy

Amy is the Operations Manager at Harbor House. She is married to Scott and they have three children, Bennett, Hudson, and Madelyn. She has attended College Church since 2007 and is active in the Faith and Life Sunday School class. Amy volunteers in the Kidsland nursery and serves as the NMI (Nazarene Missions Council) President.
