what is awana?

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

6-7:30PM

AWANA is our midweek time of community for kids during the school year and is for ages 3 through 6th grade. It is a Bible-based, Christ-centered program for children. It includes scripture memory, Biblical principles, games, activities, songs, uniforms, badges and awards.

CUBBIES

Ages 3-5
Cubbie leaders help give Clubbers a love and excitement for coming to God's house and learning His Word. Cubbies learn respect for God and others through puppet shows, games, simple scripture memory & Bible lessons.

SPARKS

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
In Sparks, children dig deep into God's Word to discover biblical truths about people and events of the Bible through scripture memory, crafts, and activities. They learn that by studying God's Word, they grow in their knowledge of Jesus.

T&T

3rd - 6th Grade
T&T stands for Truth and Training. This program focuses on deepening kids' understanding of biblical truth, as well as giving them stronger life application practices to live out their faith so that they can grow as disciples of Christ.

WHAT HAPPENS AT AWANA?

LarGE GROUP TIME

Large Group Time is when engaging Bible lessons are taught. Children have opportunities to grow and deepen their belief in Scripture. Other elements, such as worship songs or announcements, often take place at this time.

SMALL GROUP TIME

Small Group Time is when kids work one-onone with their leaders to finish assignments in their notebooks.

Awana emphasizes memorizing and understanding key Bible verses that teach children to know and follow God. A series of awards reward their achievements at every level.

GAME TIME

This part of the evening cultivates teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun! Game time allows all kids to be involved no matter their level or athletic ability. There will also be special group activities throughout the year.

I'm interested in volunteering!

Awana is our Wednesday night discipleship ministry for kids and runs from September - April from 6-7:30PM.

We have a need for university students to build relationships with kids and be a caring presence during games, snacks, and large group time.

We have a need for adults who want to invest in a small group of kids by listening to Bible verses, encouraging students in their handbooks, and building lasting relationships each week.
