"Live such good lives."

May 10, 2026    Pastor Mark Quanstrom

Peter's instructions in 1 Peter 3:8-18 provide a timeless blueprint for Christian living that transcends cultural boundaries. He outlines five essential behaviors: living in harmony, being sympathetic, loving one another, showing compassion and humility, and refusing to repay evil with evil. These behaviors form the foundation of Christian character, which serves as our primary witness to the world. Peter emphasizes that our speech reveals our character and that Christians should be known for words that build up rather than tear down. The ultimate example is Christ himself, who responded to insults and suffering with forgiveness rather than retaliation.
