An Invasion of the Spirit

The Day of Pentecost demonstrates how the Holy Spirit continues to work in unexpected, powerful ways in our lives today. When the Spirit invades, His work is comprehensive (available to all), comprehensible (we can see the results), complementary (aligns with Scripture), and companionate (He comes as our permanent helper). The early disciples prepared through loving Jesus, gathering in prayer, knowing Scripture, and waiting expectantly. Perhaps our busy lifestyles hinder the Spirit's work - we need to create space to sit quietly, wait expectantly, and allow God to move in transformative ways.
