Jesus' Mom...and Dad

Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, often gets overlooked in the Christmas story despite his crucial role. When he discovered Mary was pregnant, he chose mercy over strict justice, planning to divorce her quietly rather than expose her to public disgrace. After receiving divine revelation through an angel, Joseph immediately obeyed God's command to take Mary as his wife. Throughout Jesus' early life, Joseph consistently demonstrated faithful obedience, fleeing to Egypt when warned of danger and returning when directed. His humble submission to God's will, alongside Mary's, provided Jesus with earthly parents who modeled perfect obedience to the Father.
